Behind the Scenes with Lisa Mona

This is a peek at the process for “Lisa Mona” pastel portrait. Looks pretty funny (even kinda ugly!) at certain stages. But that’s the case with every painting.

Notice how half way through I made a major change and widened her mouth. I love that about pastels – they’re so forgiving.

Many of the skin tones used are from Prismacolor’s NuPastel set of 96.
